12月9日(木) 15:00 -- 16:00 黄 思訓(南京大学、中国) ``Inverse Problems in the Atmospheric Sciences and VAR Techniques'' <研究発表要旨> Inverse Problems in the Atmospheric Sciences and VAR Techniques (項 傑との共同研究) We deal with inverse problems in atmospheric sciences and oceanography, and introduces the powerful methods to treat these problems; variational data assimilation(VAR), and discusses some essential difficulties in VAR. Due to the ill-posedness of these problems, the regularization method is also applied, i.e., additional terms are added to the cost functional as a stabilized functional with physical meaning. The following inverse problems are treated, such as inversion of sea temperature model, inversion of parameters in an ENSO cycle model, variational adjustment of 3-D wind field, inversion of wind field with single-Doppler data, and inversion of satellite remote sensing, and the results indicate that, adoption of the regularization method in variational data assimilation, will overcome the ill-posedness, constrain calculational oscillations in iteration, and speed up convergence of solutions.
