``Fast Linear Solvers for Laplace Transformation Methods for
Parabolic Problems"

We begin with a brief review on the Laplace transformation methods for
parabolic problems. After we take Laplace transforms of the parabolic
problems in time, we solve the resulting complex-valued elliptic problems
on a suitably chosen contour. The Laplace transformed elliptic problems
are Helmholtz type. We will discuss some fast linear solvers for the set
of complex-valued Laplace transformed elliptic problems. The the original
time-domain solution is recovered by taking the Laplace inversion. Numerical
results and applications will be given.
