``Optimized Schwarz Methods''
＜研究発表要旨＞
Solving boundary value problems is an important challenge in many applied
fields such as mathematics, physics and engineering. For difficult boundary
value problems, a lot of computational power is required. Such problems
can be solved on clusters of thousands of computers. In this talk, we will
discuss domain decomposition methods as a way of parallelizing the solution
of boundary value problems. We will focus on optimized Schwarz methods,
which speed up the convergence by allowing discontinuous iterates.
