数値解析・応用解析セミナー 4月19日(木) 15:00 -- 16:00 王 振男 (中華民国, 国立台湾大学) ``Unique continuation property for the isotropic elasticity system with rough coefficients.'' <研究発表要旨> Unique continuation properties (UCP) for elliptic equations or systems, both qualitative and quantitative, are useful in many problems including inverse problems. For scalar equations even with rough coefficients, the UCP has been well investigated. For systems, due to coupling effect, the UCP is less understood. In this talk, I would like to discuss the UCP for the isotropic elasticity system (or the Lame system). I will focus on the regularity of the Lame coefficients. When the coefficients are Lipschitz, one is able to decouple the system and the UCP follows immediately. Motivated by the UCP for the scalar equations with essentially bounded coefficients in the plane, we want to know whether the UCP for the isotropic elasticity system still holds if the regularity of the Lame coefficients is below Lipschitz. I will present some positive and negative results.
