数値解析・応用解析セミナー 4月22日(木) 15:30 -- 17:00 Yu-Hsun Lee (京都大学情報学研究科) ``GPGPU computation of vortex filament evolution under the Biot-Savart law '' <研究発表要旨> In this talk, we investigate numerical reliability of self-induced motion of vortex filaments by the Biot-Savart law which is represented as an integro-differential. We use both quadruple precision arithmetic and 50 decimal digits arithmetic to examine the reliability of schemes. With the development of general-purpose computing on graphics processing units (GPGPU), we are able to perform high-performance scientific computing on GPUs. We accelerate computations by using GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) under the double precision environment.
